Ætheling
Oh and British sixpences minted between 1674 and 1787, i like those. I couldn't give two hoots about sixpences minted prior to that period or after it though.

Scottishmoney
Bought this yesterday. My most expensive coin ever, they do not seem to get any cheaper but at least it will be my new favourite ancient. This is Sicily, Syracuse 8 Litrai, 6.85 grams, 22mm AR from the reign of Agathokleos (317-289BC). It is quite similar in appearance to a contemporary Corinthian Stater, and what would distinguish this piece to being from Syracuse is the small "Triskeles" or three legged device near Pegasus on the reverse. As stated before, this coin is awesome, you have great taste. I know nothing about such things, but the three legged device to me looks like a man with unusually large legs, running while helping support Pegasus at the chest. My guess is that appearances in this case can be deceiving. Do you know more about this "Triskeles" that you can share?
geordie582
That three legged symbol is still in use today. The Isle of Man use it as their emblem!
