You can also go to a library and borrow a Krause World Coins Guide book or any similar book that they have and look at the pictures to find what you have and get some idea of value. You could also check ebay but that's a lot more work unless you can isolate the coin a bit like country, year, denomination....
Welcome to CoinPeople and I hope that we can help you.
..
Thanks Clive. I'll be posting some in various places and some in my blog here and maybe my other blog. Many will be on my flickr account as well. Thanks for taking the time to look and your kind comments.
Hello and welcome to CoinPeople. Interesting questions, but as you've said, it all depends on what you like. Instead of a spreadsheet you might consider some of the programs/databases that have already been created. I don't use any right now but some of the folks here do. Why not try a poll and see what comes up.
That's a neat item to add to your collection. There are people who collect transportation tokens and, I think, there's a society dedicated to that. If you can find it, they might be able to help you find some older issues.
Thanks Clive. I figured someone would know the details. That photograph is from 1989 and I'm pretty sure that I recorded the info about the statue at the time but my notes connecting to these images are long lost.
Can anyone tell me who this statue represents and any other information about it. It's at Westminster Abbey.
