    I'd be guessing that we're looking at a Proof coin. I'd grade it as PF65* based upon the pictures. It it plain edged? Reeded? Lettered?

    Very nice looking dollar. It's hard to grade from pictures even though yours are excellent. I'm going to say MS64. Without being able to rotate the coin in the light I can't really tell if it has telltale cleaning marks. But overall, depending on price, a great looker.

    Very true. Hard to find and expensive for what they are when you do find them. I think my strategy for clad circulation issues will be to provide the best coins I can (probably from Mint Sets) and have them slabbed myself.

    Nice and still sealed in the Littleton wrapper. Those wrappers are supposed to protect the coin from tarnish and spotting. So don't open it unless you have an alternative for storing safely.

    Very nice Alan. I love the Golden Gate Bridge so a coin like that would find a welcome place in my collection too.

    Clive that's a wonderful piece to add to your collection. I remember the postcards and thought they were quite nice and something well worth collecting. Now add the token and you're really off on a nice collecting direction.

    Very interesting article. Since they have switched to the US dollar perhaps they need to start importing dollar and half dollar coins. We have no shortage of them and could use to clear them out of the vaults.

    That's a nice nickel. I can still remember getting the 44 & 45 nickels for my collection when I was a kid. It was a big thrill, especially the tombac nickels.

    You find the most wonderful coins in circulation. Absolutely amazing. I must hang about in the wrong parts of Florida. Great find.
