hiho
Rod, NGC has problems both grading and identifying Schutzenfest medals and Conder tokens. Ideally they need real experts for these areas. Â Don't hold your breath...

Steve D'Ippolito
Indeed. I note that these were made before the modernistic rot in the arts happened. Â It is _tough_ to find something nice these days and it seems like it's not hard to find something older that blows it away. And I'll stop there before I start offending people. hiho
I bought a lot of nine Swiss Schutzenfest medals from Heritage a few months ago but apparently do not have the free time that Zohar has... Â Here is the first medal in the Richter book, an R-01b. (1849 Aatgau, 45mm silver) Â Â Looks to have been cleaned long ago and is starting to retone with some nice colors. Â You'll probably see this on eBay one day as I bought the lot for the five Holy Freres medals.
schutzenfester
I have 50 medals for sale in a new list just posted on my web site. Quite a diverse selection with rare, low mintage, seldom offered, and common. Â Here is a nice rare medal: Â
