alexbq2
I'll chime in. Here are a few acquisitions from the last months. Not a terrible 5 kopecks from 1916: Improved the Siberian 10 kopeck 1767 KM kopecks. The new one is on top. Still looking for the 1767 no MM. BTW, does anyone want the old one. I also picked up these 2 late Nicholas 1st coins:
extant4cell
Nice ones! I recently settled for 1767 no MM but with a hole, till the better times when I can find and afford one without a hole in a similar condition...
alexbq2
Hard coin! I only have an ugly 1766.

bobh
Just thought I'd share a couple of coins I won in the January Goldberg sale. Very nice errors! Now, what are the odds of finding polushka and 2 and 5 kopeck pieces from this era with the same errors (to complete the set)?
sigistenz
Hi Alex and Eugene, thank you for showing the Siberian 1767 ten kopeks. Nice ones. The 1767 lettered edge is lacking with me, too. By the way, according to my statistics , of the three 1767 types - lettered edge, edge 1 (/////////////) and edge 6 (\\\\\\\\\\\\\\) - the rarest one is edge 6, Sigi . marsmike
Yes, a denomination error set from this period would be interesting, if not unique. I suspect I'll be able to find a nice 2 kopek of this type of error eventually. I was offered one recently, but it was ugly and I was suspicious that it was false. I also have a polushka of this period about 60% off center, but not double struck. Here is one more recent buy, same period but different type, however it hasn't arrived yet. Cheers, -mike

I believe the 1767 lettered edge is 3 times harder to find than 1766 But the KM 1767 with edge 6 is the rearrest type of them all that year. Particularly this re-edged one, with no KM. (from http://coins.su/forum/index.php?showtopic=131668&p=1405180 ) The greedy wish to make the money for some gets them to a comical situation sometime, like with this coin, positioned as original edge 6 and on sale on sixbid at the moment: http://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=1986&category=40767&lot=1725303 ... that's to make you laugh... This modern times "novodel" will hardly ever pass for a coin at all... -------------- Back to show and tell... Here is my strike error coin: Denga 1731, same dies as this one (much later): you can see the characteristic dot over " 'E " and the location of the crowns... Can't say i pay much attention to the inclination of the rope edge. My new coin has 1, I will check the old one (odds are it is also 1). extant4cell
Another amazing lot from: http://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=1986&category=40767&lot=1725327 lot includes something described as 5 kopecks 1756 and 1757, but looking suspiciously alike EII pyataki... Any help out there? -mike Hello marsmike Deng (eagle sample year 1748) example photo
marsmike
Hi RuslanK, Wow! You are good. I couldn't get nearly that far. But it is interesting that it is a 1748, as I have 2 other wide off-center strikes of that year, but not nearly as much off-center as this one. Thanks for your help! -mike
marsmike
Just got another error of the same period. Now a 2 kopek. -mike
