Here's a nice Jefferson from my collection. I've had the coin a while but just photographed it yesterday.

Here's a really nice Roosevelt Dime from a US Mint set. The Mint Set coins have a Satin Finish from ???? until 2009. Then they stopped and went back to the normal circulation coin finish. I think the satin finish is quite attractive but frankly I'm glad that they dropped it. It just made another set of moderns that you have to get and then getting the circulation strikes is a real problem in higher grades.

WOW! I haven't run into any of the Territories or NP quarters in change. I have one Wash DC that Frannie got in change quite a while ago. I wonder where the heck they are?
You'd think there would be a big quarter turnover here. One of the bigger local newspaper groups processess all their news machine coins through two branches of their bank here, so we get a lot of quarter turnover. That's why the banks would never order the State Quarters from the Fed.
#3 is your best option. I always attempt to do #4 which is purchase a box or bag from the bank and attempt to spend those that I don't need. I admit it's more difficult with nickels than with halfs or dollars. Good hunting.
Absolutely beautiful coins Bob. The 84 IHC has terrific woodgraining. The 23 Buffalo is superb. I've considered one of those magnifiers for my D3100 but haven't found much in a positive vain about them. Is your's the Nikon device or an OEM?
Depends on what year's redbook you used. Just joking. I'd have probably paid over redbook or dealer ask for a coin that beautiful -- if I needed it.
Do you have an album of your half dollar collection online so that we can see the whole thing?
