  1. It is back... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Rouble-1737-Russian-Empire-Anna-silver-coin-AG/261286185724?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D1427304002179672590%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D261243953759%26
  2. Sadagura looks real. The other one, cannot tell. You may want to show the 3 dengi to a specialist -- those corrosion spots look nasty enough to be a disease. May need to take care of it before it kills the coin.
  3. hard to find these cheap (reasonably reasonable) in collectable condition...
  4. 1907? Would be a very logical step -- everyone immediately examines the 7, forgetting about 1...
  5. It has serious corrosion. F/vf details. Scratches and was intentionally damaged. The rarity of undercoin does not matter (IMXO). Hard to tell. I would not pay anything for it.
  6. coin looks original. "2's" is someone screwing with it. No relationship to mint.
  7. could be an alteration. But, could be those fake dies made from 07 and then changed to press this thing. Stupid grading services that slab fakes, but won't give a grade to an original that has "excessive hairlines" Wonder if someone buys it... Will be another "lucky" guy.
  8. Your best source would be Vasily. After all, Fedorin is his co-worker at M&M
  9. lovely t-shirt. Most likely she is not there on prostitution charges judging by the slogan...
  10. of course not. Just took notice of your choice of words. Hope you did not pay more than the metal content value.
  11. Do you mean the fake synthetic crap they sell as vodka, which can blind you or kill you? As far as alcohol goes, I would travel to Georgia to drink real georgian wine and brandy. Wine is amazing, and real Georgian brandy 20 years+ (I tried 25) puts most XO cognacs to shame.
  12. Funny, last time I was in Moscow in 1993, the ridiculous pointy boots were the top of the style. I guess, styles do not change very quick there :-)
  13. Marv, I got the 2007 edition. Just says $800. Nothing on rarity. The only coin listed as R5 is a 22 with imperial ruble edge. Do not go crazy over the "very rare" part. 1922 in Proof is rare and desirable, whether it is labeled "very rare" or not.
  14. I think these only came as proofs. 1922 AG F1.2 f2 F-5. Variety is called "half-dot" I think I heard about business strikes, but every time the argument was that it is an impaired proof. In my Fedorin it is listed at $800, which is decent, but normal for proofs.
  15. I am not sure it is not a fake... All these holes and "wear" could be hiding something mere sinister :-) Otherwise, a very rare variety.
  16. Well, that is not possible, because they would not have a "W" or "V" punches at the mint. Do not think EM produced any coins with Latin inscription of this size at the time. Could have been "hand cut" during the die repair... But, it could also be a die break that created this effect. Like a "B" instead of "E" on the previous design 5 kop. of 1832 and 1834. I also have a clear 5 kop K.M. of those years some place. (also a die break, of course) It is very hard to talk about such varieties, and determine the exact cause, unless the coin is at least XF+ with original field and no corrosion.
