For the first time in this thread's long, storied history, I have something PRODUCTIVE to contribute: I found about 50 cents in the reject bin. Today, in my journey to buy new razor blades (why do they keep them behind the customer services counter of the grocery store?), I deviated from my usual path and passed the big, green machine. I rarely ever check it and when I do, I never see anything.

I don't have Friedberg in front of me, but is the train on the back the same train they use on the 1914/15/17 (can't remember) series (juxtaposed against a farm or whatever)?

Right, I recognize that 1514 is specific to a certain calendar system, I just couldn't name it - Gregorian or Cesarian or Julian or something. Certainly not the Muslim or Hebrew calendar system!

I think 1514 is a date thrown around as the first dated coin
