  1. Heh heh, maybe. But if it is anything like the 1&2 cent sale, the lines were very long. (A number queue.) And since Helsinki is the only place where the coins can be purchased, you can be sure collectors will come with their extended families to line up so each person can buy one to hand back to the collector as they walk out the door. I hope there is freezing rain that week! It will shorten the lines!
  2. (Sighhhhhhhhh) I do not look forward to waiting in that line. It will be long!!! I just hope I will be able to get one.
  3. Another Katrina auction win and a very cool note from Bill!
  4. That is still quite cool. I have not come to anything even close!

  8. Oh man, I love Franklins in general- but that one is really nice!! It is as if the full moon is slowly becoming a new moon again with that rim toning.

    Art

Worked a nice trade with Art in August. Perfect!
  10. A 1980 SBA unc set from the Katrina auctions. I also received, via e-mail, a notice that my Unc US Marines commem has been sent!
  11. Yup. looks like V better evacuate along with everone else. Trouble is coming!
  12. All the auctions that I won from Jose. There was some really great stuff in there! There were probably only 2 coins that I already had (different dates), while most were from countries that I had none from. I really loved the Portuguese Beauties! And it was worth it just for the coin below. Check the text on the reverse. I wonder does it mean "first" or "food"?? .............. Thanks for the great stuff Jose!! After looking through the Krause with these, I noticed some great looking designs. I will have to bother you some to see if you have any.
  13. WOW! How did/could that happen???
  14. http://www.ecb.int/bc/coins/national/2euro...l/index.en.html This starts with the €2. To the left you will find the other denominations.
  15. A €5 Finn commem, and a certain coin from a certain member that proves, yet again, that the people on this site are just the BEST!
  16. Yesterday I got a 1999 Finland 10 markkaa circulating commem. Similar to this but Unc: Also a 2005 €5 commem and a medal commemorating the 50th anniversay of the Olympic Games in Helsinki.
  17. I bought one also, for the same price. However, mine shall not be cracked as I collect mint sets seperately as well.
  18. Oh, I am sure those "rumors" are credible. Rahapaja has a certain number of wholesale dealers in Germany that they coordinate sales with. That is why these are found on the market in Europe while the average collector here must apply for a lottery to buy a coin.
  19. It seems that Finn collectors need to start looking to the official dealers that Rahapaja deals with in Germany for info. No press releases here yet about any release date.
  20. A prize package from T'bunny. Very cool stuff, THANKS!
  21. This would be old news to you if you have seen the historically accurate movie called Top Secret! "souveniers, novelties, and party tricks"
