josemartins
...because it sounds better than "delayed 200th post giveaway..." Here's a small "quiz" similar to one i've made a few months back, here's the pics of 5 obverses: All i need to know is: Country, denomination and year on each coin (the size/contrast/saturation of the pics were "twisted", also applied some blur/sharp filters): 1 - C - D - Y 2 - C - D - Y 3 - C - D - Y 4 - C - D - Y 5 - C - D - Y Clues: - All the coins are from different countries/territories - All the coins heve different denominations - All the coins are from different years - The legends are the Key!!! Some experience with Commonwealth coins and a KM catalog can take you a long way... - None of the coins are from Great Britain... One try for contestant until i reply, then everyone can try again and so on. Prizes: Winner (the first to get everything right) Three Azores coins: 20 Reis 1843 (Maria II), 10 Reis 1865 (Luis I), 5 Reis 1901 (Carlos I): If someone gets 8 correct answers (can acumulate with winner prize) gets a silver Portuguese 1953 20 escudos coin: Good luck! josemartins
Well Bobby, now you got the denomination of the Southern Rhodesia coin right, it is a Half Crown (i was a little sneaky on this one, applied an extra sharp filter to look that the coin was smaller ). The Azores coins question is: What's the year on that British West Africa 3 pence? Anyone? (Everybody can try again once...) Jose
