I was looking over my $2 bills and I have a few 1928 red ones that look nice. I was thinking maybe I would sell the others can just collect 1928 ones. They are going on ebay for about $10 in decent shape, can someone look up prices in the red book, what would be a fair price to pay?

Sorry - not ignoring your request. I don't do currency and so I don't have any of the books needed to look this up for you.

Just a note - the Red Book is for coins. I don't really know what the equivalent is for bills.

I have a book at home, but I won't be able to post an answer till tomorrow. For reference, the only 1928s I have I got from circulation, but there were a number of series, I think 1928 through 1928 G, and some might be worth more than others. In any case, for circulated grades I probably wouldn't pay more than $10, probably less. I will post what I find tonight tomorrow morning.

Ok, these prices are from the 1997 16th Edition of the Krause Dtandard Catalog of United States Paper Money, so they are catalog prices which tend to be high, but they are also 8 years old, which may offset. I priced the 1928 notes for Fine condition, and the 1953 and 1963 in CU:

1928 $12.50

1928A $35.00

1928B $45.00

1928C $15.00

1928D $10.00

1928E $15.00

1928F $4.50

1928G $5.00

1953 $7.50

1953A $5.00

1953B $5.50

1953C $6.50

1963 $5.00

1963A $7.50
