My reply:

Dear Gunther,

1. Views and opinions expressed in fake coin forums are the author's, and do not necessarily represent those of Coin People forum.

2. ALL CAPITAL LETTERS ALWAYS MAKE ME MAD.

3. You are welcome to discuss the authenticity of your coins in the forum. We are a friendly bunch and will be more than happy to take your side in this discussion if you present a convincing argument.

4. Any further threats of legal action or abusive behavior towards other forum members will result in removal of your account.

Best regards,

akdrv

In my opinion, your reply is courteous, measured, reasonable and appropriate.

I note that you did not point out to "Gunther" that the terms "slander" and "libel" are not synonyms, nor are "libel" and "liable", a temptation which, unlike you, I would probably not have been able to resist. My compliments to you for your admirable self-restraint. :ninja:

akdrv, your response was appropriate IMHO.

And now 120 people have viewed the other post! :ninja:

I might add that it is always worth it to report something to eBay as well ... one never knows, but sometimes they DO remove questionable listings. It happens more often now than in the past, I think. Give them a chance to do the right thing.

A funny coincidence ... in the ads banner at the top of the forum just now, an ad from http://www.avengence.com has popped up ... wonder if it is worth $15,000 to Gunther to get them to take some kind of action? :ninja:

(Edit: oops, it's gone again ... of course, the ads are constantly changing...)

I can't help but wonder what legal liability might exist for anyone who actually contracted and paid for such a "service".

Hello

Hi akdrv I´m sorry for any inconvient, but I´m sure for what I've said.

In my country it is commom to said that "an image worth more than 1000 words", so here is an image of a true "crowned shield" countermark, and every body could judge for themselves:

As about Mr. Gunther, he know my name and my location, so he is free to charge against me if I´m wrong.
