16d
Saw these today. Did they give these away in packs of smokes?
16d
Answered my own ? They were given away in packs apparently. Very cool reps; nonethe less. "Nice old cigarette insert cards depicting the early coins of Canada , including the old gold coins , embossed like real coins onto the cards. excellent condition but slight damage to the backs from having been in an album originally, not too bad, and the cards are perfectly strong with sharp corners." ccg
Interesting, to say the least. These appear to be from early post-WWI Germany before the hyperinflation started.
banivechi
From the same era I have one german postcard with embossed romanian coins 1900-1910, including and exchange rates of that time

Mediccoin
So cool. All we get here in America is Marlboro Miles. Oh it doesn't matter anyway, I don't smoke.

The cigarette premium promotions fell victim to the "war on tobacco". Maybe the Camel stuff will become collectible as a result.

Already are, for instance, sold for $150.
tabbs
Only vaguely related but ... this technique of "printing" 3D images of coins on paper or cardboard is also used by some mints for presentation purposes. Here are two picture of a Czech 200 KC coin issued to mark the introduction of the euro cash (not in CZ but in Euroland), or rather pictures of the card that accompanied the piece. The image of the coin is silverish with a somewhat flat but still nice relief: Christian
