  2. You all have so nice coins Today i received these from an Austrian coindealer: Hungary, 5 Korona 1907 KB Austria, 5 Corona 1909 The mailman actuall only brought a note which told me to go to post-office for the coins... :rofl:
  3. 5 Roubles 1903 АP This is the smallest coin of the new Russian gold standard, which was adopted in 1897. The serie consisted of 5, 7½, 10 and 15 Rouble coins. 7½ and 15 Roubles were same size as the older 5 and 10 Roubles(20 & 40 francs) and they were made in one year only, 1897, in quite large quantity though. The coins depict emperor Nicholas II and Russian imperial eagle. Composition: Gold 900/000 Weight: 4,3g Diameter: mm Mintmasters: АГ = Apolon Grasgov (1883-1899) ФЗ = Felix Zahleman (1899-1901) ЭБ = Elikum Babajants (1899, 1906-1913) AP = Alexander Redko (1901-1905)
  4. 2 Kopek 1801 EM 1 Kopek 1799 EM Denga 1798 EM These stylish but simple coins were minted in Jekaterinburg from 1797 to 1801. Other mints were Annensk (AM) and Kolyvan (KM). The letter on the coins is Pavel's monogram, a cyrillic "P".

Actually it is the third one The earlier ones were: 5 Kopeks 1757 СПM (Struck to commemorate the introduction of new technology of producing coins out of cannon at Sestroretsk mint, extremely rare coin. It is similar to the normal EII-prjanik) 5 Roubles 1832 (Struck to commemorate the gold found at the Kolyvan mines)
  17. Okay. I think it can't be anything "real". Since people often don't know russian coins too well, it is easy to make such coins and sell them for big $$.
  18. I think it might be somekind of a fantasy issue. How much did you pay for it? Are you sure it is made of Gold? Does it really weigh 15,5 gramms? Where did you buy it?

It depicts emperor Alexander III and the Imperial Eagle. Three different portraits were used. The one pictured was used from 1892 to 1894.
