  1. Derick - - WOW! Very impressive. Those are some impressive serial numers there! It's something to see them all together like that too. Congratulations on that haul!
  2. Got a cool note from Argentina - 0.36 denomination. Also got a few from Bolivia
  3. Wow! THat sure is one pretty banknote there. Congrats!
  4. Here's some nice, new COrdobas frm Nicaragua. I really like these. Thee windows have impressions on them, as well as some printing, and some even have color changing ink over the windows - a very cool feature I've never seen before. One curious thing with this issue is that the 100 Cordoba is paper, while the 10,20 and 200 denominations are Polymer notes.
  5. Another Great Note, Madison! Wow - You sure know how to get the best of the best, don't you! Way to go!
  6. Gorgeous notes there, Madison! Glad you've been able to find a few notes to pick up. Congratulations! Takes a long time to pull myself away from viewing these wonderful notes.
  7. Nice Notes! But then what do you have that isn't!?! I especially like the 4 shillings notes serial number. One could even add teh denomination and take it one further
  8. Got this in today: 1934 $10 Dallas Branch with Light Green Seal - a key combination. I was pretty lucky on this one. It's one of those things that you weren't expecting to get but was not able to pass up on the chance.
  9. Got this in today - Gabon 1000 Francs - portrait of Omar Bongo and refinery.
  10. I got it through Ebay from a seller in England. There's a lot of them for sale on Ebay right now. I mainly got it for the amount of zeros on it. I also have a 1 cent note from Zimbabwe too, so it's kinda' the 'ends of the spectrum' of their financial mess over there.
  11. Well, I finally got one of these - only cost me a dollar, so what the heck, eh?
  12. Mailman brought another 1000 Francs banknote from Central African States - Chad. Also got a nice Colombia 5000 Pesos.
  13. Wow wow wow! ! ! Such a pretty note there. Congrats on the new purchase! It's a great note
  14. Well if you like that, then you should check out the other ghana notes from 1965. They are similar in that regard, but with less attractive scenes. Most have a building, but this one: Link is rather pleasing to look at.
  15. Thanks everyone! DaveM - Per your request:
  16. Getting pretty close to finishing my Ghana set with these two.
  17. What! More Yet?!? Oh, my - Too nice for words. I feel as a child, playing amongst the great collectors! Thanks for posting all those lovley notes for us to admire. I must be careful not to stare too long at them on my monitor, lest I ruin my eyes!
  18. Here's the US Silver sert's from 1935G when they changed over to the Motto 'In God We Trust' on the reverse.
  19. WOW!!! Another couple of amazing and beautiful banknotes You always seem to surprise me with you amazing notes! I agree with you that the EU might be butting a blandness on paper money and removing the cultural aspects from banknotes, but they might come around in the future to do something like the second note you posted - which is also a banknote from a currency board 'Central African States' with the desiignation for Central African Republic spelled out. Like you last note illustrates, the EU just might issue notes with an overall European flair to them (whatever that may be), but more likely I think, is that they might do like the coins, and issue notes on which one side is designed with an EU Recognizable image, and the other is designed in line with the member country's cultural and national symbols. And then there might even be some commemorative EU Notes in the future. Well, we can hope anyway! And once again - - Great New Notes!!!!!
  20. Congrats on your 1st 500! It's a great looking note!
  21. Wow! Very very very nice! Congratulations no the great purchases. Thanks for showing them off for us - I'm certain I wouldn't see them otherwise.
  22. Not much of a note here, but I was rather taken by the image on the reverse showing the industrial area. It's a madhouse scene, and I can only image the pollution that would have been in a place like this. THe note is from 1966, but the image seems like something from the Industrial Age. The catalog simply states "Large refinery on back." I wonder if it's still there and if it is really as crazy as it looks.
  23. I know that Tunisia was a French Protectorate, but I still find it interesting tha the German army woudl issue bank of France notes in Tunisia and have to have the overprint obscuring Bank of France and then one stateing Bank of Tunisia, then obscuring Cent Francs and one stating Mille Francs. I wonder what the conditions were that made it easier to do that than to reissue Tunisia notes, even with overprints. I suppose simple logistics in wartime North Africa. Nice note though. I've not seen it before - is it scarce?
  24. Made a couple of unplanned purchaes recently:
  25. Nice notgeld there Boydle! The ones made from linen, silk, and other types of materials are pretty neat!
