I got a 2005-D cent.
That's special for me because I'm from the East Coast and we never see denver coins out here. Oh, I got it in Texas, land of the D's
The most I've paid is about $115 for the Buffalo Dollar coin and currency collection. I usually will not shell out that kind of money but I saw it and I fell in love.
there is one thing i find in teresting. the presidential terms when there was no first lady will have liberty on the gold coin. the liberty will be one that circulated on coinage during that presidential term. Has anyone figured out which libertys these would be?
Hey! I like the Sac!
And I like the idea of sticking the cumbersome phrases on the edge, I thought they should have done that for the sac.
As for the rest...
Have you ever tried using silica jell for extra protection? It takes the moisture out of the air and you should be able to get packets at your local supermarket.
Joan's back!
In some instances I will prefer to buy uncirculated or circulated examples of a coin.
I love the way some coins age and wear in their travels and buy them for that reason.
I've seen lots of SGS slabs while trolling around on Ebay.
I know next to nothing about grading and I can tell that they go overboard with the high marks.
The most 70's I've seen on slabbed coins in fact have been on SGS slabs.
This is the most 70's I've ever seen at one time!!!!

I wonder if this change has anything to do with the fact that Britain has soldiers operating in a war zone. I sure the government wouldn't want a coin to remind the people of the dangers their loved ones face on a day to day basis.
I'm not sure what the one pound coins say, probably something about the queen but it is latin.
The two pound coins celebrate british industry thourgh the ages, hence the Newton quote
The modern British 2 pound coin has "Standing on the shoulders of giants" inscribed on the edge. It's an Issac Newton quote.
I think that's pretty neat.
