  1. Never knew about this satin finish minting or the funky label PCGS uses for them!
  2. You're not doing full steps, right, Art?
  3. Is that yours, Art? She looks great!
  4. Saw a Chickasaw in change a few days ago! Really need to get back into collecting from circulation now that the economy has picked up again.
  5. Figures when I'm on vacation a great giveaway occurs. Thanks for doing this, VP!
  6. Does anyone have those large stone wheels they have in Indonesia, I think?
  7. Are you admitting to something, Cvargo?
  8. GO, ART, GO!! Maybe hold a cointest to celebrate your last addition
  9. Just noticed ScottishMoney's V nick finds. Wowee!
  10. Where's the buff?? Love that seated dime! Thanks for posting. That first ancient doesn't strike me as a bobh coin.
  11. A coinstar machine is stationed outside grocery stores. Folks with lots of change come along and put the change into the machine which spits out something in return. I've heard they do gift cards, straight cash, or usually receipts to use at the store. (with a small fee taken off of course). Well, the machine doesn't always get fed coins, so it puts the rejects in a bin below. That's where this thread gets its source.
  12. Same. I did a report on Uruguay in.... 2nd grade? Been fascinated since. Esp with the cowboy imagery too.
  13. Very crisp lettering. I don't know if that's the die state, a variety, the toning, the photography or what.
  14. Perhaps you should elaborate on your method in the Numis. Photog. Forum. I'm sure many collectors here would love your method.
  15. I don't believe it! That's so easy! I have so much trouble scanning on my scanner. Nothing comes out right or satisfactory it seems. And I agree about photoshop. It's the only software I have but it's so hard to use. I'm jealous you only take 10 minutes to do all of this.
  16. Congrats, Finn, on the new news! Glad to have you back!
  17. Wahoo! Jtryka, I hate to ask, but how much did that set you back?
  18. All great, Rod! Is it just my poor perception or are bronze medals far less frequent?
  19. Interesting, I'm impressed they have the edge holders for a reeded edge as conventional as a dime's.
  20. Agree, Art. I guess the clear ones are cheaper though - and kind of let you see the rims
  21. Wow! Congrats! Why don't you buy in small sets? Just curious. I'd consider that cheating too. I'm just wondering why you don't.
  22. When I get into the earlier series with many many banks, I'm going to focus on the Richmond or Chicago banks... probably for similar reasons you chose yours.
  23. Jtryka, what motivated you to get two of the same design but of different banks? Just curious
  24. RICHMOND!!! :yahoo: I get a lot of those but for obvious reasons
