  1. All great, Rod! Is it just my poor perception or are bronze medals far less frequent?
  2. Interesting, I'm impressed they have the edge holders for a reeded edge as conventional as a dime's.
  3. Agree, Art. I guess the clear ones are cheaper though - and kind of let you see the rims
  4. Wow! Congrats! Why don't you buy in small sets? Just curious. I'd consider that cheating too. I'm just wondering why you don't.
  5. When I get into the earlier series with many many banks, I'm going to focus on the Richmond or Chicago banks... probably for similar reasons you chose yours.
  6. Jtryka, what motivated you to get two of the same design but of different banks? Just curious
  7. RICHMOND!!! :yahoo: I get a lot of those but for obvious reasons
  8. Rod, the first one you posted looks pretty pitted. Is that due to the matte finish? Also, since the later years of these medals are in the mid-30's and they took place in German-speaking lands, do you ever come across Nazi imagery or themes on them?
  9. Got a great read on the 1933 double eagles from jtryka for the Christmas swap this year. My first numismatic book in a looooooong time.
  10. Cool. Just checking to see if you had decided to grab a few American coins that had stuck out at you during your time here.
  11. So, why those American bits, clive? just curious.
  12. Perfectly struck, perfectly centered, perfectly retaining luster.
  13. I hope to get back into this when I'm done with school... so soon.
  14. Love that chocolate and that dime!!
  15. Which VAM is that morgan proof-like?
  16. Pretty cool, Dave! Thanks for sharing!
  17. I noticed when I checked yesterday
  18. I don't hate them or love them. I'm just... not around them. Thanks for sharing these photos. I'm really glad I got to see such great examples
  19. I agree... keep, Art. maybe make it "ART" instead of "Art"
