Dockwalliper
We headed back to the Car. Libby got a bit worried as we approached Senaca Niagara Casino. But I told her I have yet to see a slot big enough to take her. (Now she thinks she needs to diet)

Dockwalliper
I wanted to let you know that Libby has not been Idol these past few weeks. She has gotten to see some more of the interesting places around WNY. Here we are at the Robert Moses Power plant below Niagara Falls. In 1961 when it opened it was the largest Hydroelectric plant in the western world. Water is diverted from the Niagara River above the falls—up to 375,000 gallons a second—and conved through conduits under the City of Niagara Falls to Lewiston. From there, water flowing through the Robert Moses plant spins turbines that power generators, converting this mechanical energy into electrical energy. Thats the Queenston/Lewiston bridges in the background, Canada is on the left,US on the right. Libby and Aaron check out one of the stainless steel Turbines that was recently replaced. Its almost 18 feet in diameter and weighs almost 92 tons.

Eight 2.5 megawatt wind turbines constructed on the slag piles of the old Bethlehem steel plant on the shores of Lake Erie. It generates enough electricity to serve the needs of approximately 6,000 homes.

Scottishmoney
They reported the Basilica was the Mosque of the Lackawanna six, but they should have reported from the Botanical Garden as it does look like a Mosque.
