Dads Stuff
This coin was graded as MS64 about 20 years ago by a company called National Numismatic Certification Service. Thanks, Linda
Sir Sisu
Not sure about the grade, but that coin-in-slab may be a collectable on its own, because of the grading company. You might want to PM a member here by the name- condor101. I believe he collects slabs issued by different coin grading companies. He may be able to give you some info whether this "National Numismatic Certification Service" holds interest for those that collect slabs.
Beautiful Coins Again
Dads Stuff... I will agree with the MS64 grade provided there are no problems other than the mark on the cheek. This seems to be well struck and has full luster. According to current grading standards, this would be MS64.
stu62
I can't grade Peace dollars to save my life.I'll agree with MS-64 though.
Burks
I'd go from 62-64. Don't have much experience with Peace dollars.
2coins
These are a toughf coin to grade, they were not struck very hard, and Id say its hard to really grade your coin without being in hand....any surface rub& scratches will say what MS catergorie it will be, hard to say by photo... Peter
Surely any blemish (such as on the cheek) will reduce it to aunc ?....certainly in UK standards....probably GEF money.....I thought MS64 was in the grade of perfect with lustre (albeit not full). Art
I'd have to agree with the MS64 grade on this. I might be convinced to go MS65 but can't see enough of the coin - reflections and such - to do so. It looks like a very nice Peace Dollar.
