There was a farmer named Gary,

Whose mule was getting contrary,

Gary painted him red,

A green hat on his head,

Sold him as a huge Christmas fairy.

Much better :ninja:

I would make one little change...line 1

There once was a farmer named Gary.

If you read it back it flows so much better.

Looks like some folks need a Limerick lesson.

Dock, look, I know that mine is not a real limerick, but I was pressed for time and that was the best I could come up with for my shysters!! Gimme a break!!

:ninja:

Actually your was much closer than some.

With just a bit of work on the beat it could work quite nicly.

There once was a debonaire gent

and no matter where ever he went

he left a trail of destruction

due to flatulence malfunction

and the AuldFartte was proud of the scent.

"Ho Ho Ho " (just to make it "Cristmas-like") ;)

Close your eyes my sweet Coinpeep,

Dream of silver as you sleep.

Pretty Gold coins and crispy notes

Silly posts and ugly coin votes

Fond mem'ries all for me to keep!

After sorting out the poetry from the lessons, I assigned each poet a number according to their posting order. A random numbers generator that I found on line chose...Kat. Kat, you're the winner of the giveaway. Please PM me you address and your pick of either the Morgan dollar or the 2 center and I'll get it in the mail.

Thanks for playing everyone!

Why, thank you, kind Sir! :ninja: And all this time I thought you were unlucky when your number was up! ;) I'll be sending you my addy. shortly (as compared to longly. ;) )

Decisions! I believe I'll choose the 2 cent as I don't have one and I do have a Morgan.

Thanks, again, this was fun!!!

Congrats Kat!!  You are quite a writer!

Thank you, dear Joan! I think everyone put forth an excellent effort! I even e-mailed my mom with a couple that she thought were hysterical.

BTW...your cute kitty looks so comfy! :ninja:
