    daggit

Wow! Got the nickel I purchased from Daggit and a bunch of extra goodies! Super person to deal with! Thanks so much!
  3. Yes, quite a bit larger. Larger than a quarter!
  4. I received an 1849 large cent that I purchased from Bill. My first large cent. I just love it! I was watching the President's State of the Union address tonight, and I just kept looking at the coin and wondering how many people used this coin back in the mid 1800's. I know Zachary Taylor was the President back then and in 1850 the chief question of the day was the future of slavery in the new territories. So where has my coin traveled? It will have a very cherished place in my collection. Thanks, Bill!
  5. My first 2006 Silver Eagle for my album; the 1955 "Bugs Bunny" Franklin recently purchased, and a surprise package from a certain "Bunny" pal of mine. Thanks sooooooooo much!!

    Art

Art is the best!! I just found this, sorry it took me so long to post feedback. Purchased a Red Book from Art, he included a bonus too. Wonderful to do business with you, Art!!
  14. P & D Rolls of West Virginia Quarters from the mint. Also, a 2005 proof set and 2005 Silver American Eagle Proof that I purchased for my goddaughter, who was born this year.
  15. My complete set of Silver American Eagles came today from Shop at Home TV - They are beautiful!! I am about to put them in my Intercept Shield Album.
  16. Today: Two sets of the 2005 Westward Journey Nickel Sets from the Mint. Unopened proof sets in OGP: 1954, 1959, 1961-64.
  17. Today was one of those "good" days. I received my two Marine Commems, 4 rolls of the Kansas buffalo quarters, and the American Legacy Collection of coins all from the Mint, and a 1992 slabbed American Eagle.
  18. Well, I am usually in the minority on these opinions, but I like the idea of the presidential coins. And yes, I am one of the quarter-crazies out there. I agree, though, with wanting it to take a shorter period of time to complete. 12 years - I'll be an old woman!!
  19. I am paying $39 per coin and $9.60 for the tax, shipping and handling/insurance - this is from the Home Shopping Network. I would have to pay $30 per coin to have it certified myself (with no guaranty that it would grade to a 69), so I thought this was not a bad price. So the total actually comes to $972 for 20 coins. I have 86-90 so far, they send me one per month. I do not want anything graded from any place other than ICG (where these are graded), PCGS, or NGC, and I believe they all charge $30 to certify a coin. At any rate, they are also throwing in a very nice wooden box with a felt lining for free and I liked that too!
  20. I love coins, but Americans in general do not want their dollars to be coins. And I have to agree. I never used the Sacs or the SBA's when they were in circulation but I sure do like to collect them. Paper dollars are here to stay.
  21. Very interesting - I never knew about the aluminum cents. Thanks.
  22. I have many of each grade. I always prefer the MS or PR 70, but sometimes because of availability and/or price, I go with the 69. Right now, I am collecting (1 coin per month) a complete set of the Silver Eagle Uncirculateds and they will all grade at MS-69 - the set will cost me about $900 when I am done. The same set in MS-70 would cost $30,000 or more. I just cannot afford that until I hit the lotto! I am now purchasing the 70 graded Eagles since last year, in fact just bought an NGC PR 70 Eagle today. They are pricey, but the 70 I purchased last year has more than tripled in value. A little bit at a time!
  23. One of my latest purchases.
