burda-graph
My name is Peter. I collect mainly shooting medals and thalers. I'm from Poland. Not so long ago I came with an idea to sell (on ebay)from time to time a medal which I have two copies of. This is how I met Hiho who told me about this forum. I can see that there are a lot of coneissours of shooting medals here. I am very happy as in my country there are little and I do not have anyone I could talk to about my hobby. One thing I am sorry for - my English is weak this is why my opinions will contain a lot of mistakes. I am sorry in advance, I hope you will forgive me. hiho
And another from the same page of the Richter book. 1906 Arbon (Thurgau) Richter # 1275a 23mm silver 726 struck Engraved by Holy Freres This was also cast in bronze with an RRR scarcity rating. I'm satisfied with the more affordable silver example. It even came with the original display case.

burda-graph
I am very happy that my country is not strange to you. Besides beautiful women we have also a very interesting history. There was even time when Poland was not on maps..it was divided by powerful superpower countries - Germany, Austria and Russia. However, after I World War we regained indpendence. In the history - we have had many bad and good moments.. For example, one of the biggest battles of the Middle Ages - Grunwald 1410..It is estimated that 45 up to 70 thousand soldiers participated in the battle. At one side there were the Slavs - the Polish, Liev, Russian and Czech Armies were led by the Polish king Władysław Jagiełło. At the other side there were the Order of the Teutonic Knights and elite troops from the entire Western Europe. They were led by the great Tuutonic Master - Ulruch von Jungingen (died in the battle). The battle was painted by one of the greatest Polish painters - Jan Matejko. Very big: http://obrazpol.com/uploads/BITWA_POD_GRUNWALDEM_O.jpg http://www.haftix.pl/bitwa_pod_grunwaldem/.../Bitwa%205a.jpg There was also a movie in 1960. Of course, without special effects which we have now. If someone is interested in the history of the Middle Ages - I sincerely recommend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ977-3FAMA...feature=related Very sorry for this offtopic.
