Speaking of birds, this one is on a Ukraine 200 HRYVEN 2007. The Ukraine banknote has come a long way since the banknotes from 1991.

That is what I first thought, however the 1999 version of the 500 and 1000 do not have that thick band on the side. Thank you.

Even though these are not true banknotes I thought it would be worth mentioning these Test Notes from ArcaTech Systems. They make a great addition to a banknote zoo.

I just go these notes in the mail from Taiwan today. I cannot read Chinese, and I am trying to figure out if there are Dates on the notes. Can anyone help identify the dates please? Thank you.

From Taiwan, I believe they are either 2004 or 2005. I like the pheasants best of the group.

You are right! I never noticed that before ... it is kind of creepy. Well the front of that note will never look the same to me again.

MauMauNotes Yeah, that is a great set of bird notes, they are up there with the Suriname and Singapore sets. I am working on that Canada Set myself, but I am trying to get ony the Thiessen/Crow signitures. The 1,000 is a bit expensive.

Dave, Great set, don't you just love money from Nepal. They are inexpensive to get and nice to look at. It is pretty neat how they took out the king and put in the mountain.

I just got this Congo 50 Francs 1962. I have been waiting patiently for one that falls into my price range. It appears to be uncirculated, but with my luck .... I am still checking to see if it is real.
