  1. Good luck with the bidding, there's less than 24 hours on many of the auctions. Your chance to own coins like this:
  2. I've just added another 120+ auctions, take a look here.
  3. Pat, does this look familiar? It's an early 19th century sulphur cast I've picked up.
  4. The complete coin in the above picture is a local die issue of Henry VI, York ecclesiastical mint. Mullet or cinquefoil by crown and quatrefoil in centre of reverse. Most likely Rosette-mascle or Pinecone-mascle issue. The more complete of the two shortcross pennies has the moneyer Henri on London mint. Looks like a John but is too beaten-up to be sure from these photographs. I hope this helps.
  5. Indeed, it's a common Venetian soldino. Here's a recently sold example.
  6. Thanks for the infortmation, Jose - I suspected as much. Is there much value to them?
  7. Thanks for the link, Blackhawk. Is that really an accurate reflection of its value?
  8. Please take a look at my offerings on eBay. From British gold to Yemeni sets to Canadian silver. Here's the link!
  9. These two Arabic coins are still sealed in their mint packaging but I'm not entirely sure what they are, when they date from or where they're from. Any help greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
  10. I'm not sure about new coins but there is a dedicated set and a £1 coin that has been issued. The set can be seen here, vastly overpriced if you ask me.
  11. It would probably fare better in the Exonmuia>Medals category with 'Error' noted in the title.
  12. Indeed. It sounds like an ascension medal/token.
  13. The one in the middle looks like a fantasy piece or token depicting Queen Victoria, most likely manufactured in the first half of the 20th century. The peacock coin is a Burmese issue from the 19th century, if it's 31mm in diameter it's a Rupee. The 5 cents has most likely been gilded in the past and would not have been done at the mint. Most likely done as a school experiment or for novelty/souvenir purposes. We look forward to seeing more!
  14. I like these very much! There's something really satisfying about worn 20th century silver. Nice additions!
  15. You're definitely not the only one. As a collector and researcher of English medieval hammered coins this seems like a cheap gimmick to me. A shame, really.
  16. I don't generally like coins like that unless they're contemporary. So I collect Anglo-Saxon coin jewellery, too. You can see one of mine in more detail here.
  17. I'd guess in the early Victorian period, if not earlier as it's got a very primitive clasp.
