  1. King John Penny of London. Edward I Penny of Lincoln. Elizabeth I Sixpence. James II Threepence. William III Sixpence. George II Threepence. George III Sixpence. George IV Groat. All made into a bracelet. An odd item, spanning more than half a millennia!!
  2. Most likely due to the different presses they use. I would imagine the RM's is of better quality.
  3. I'm afraid Pat is right. If it was indeed found in a garden then it was recently added to the soil.
  4. A bit of silver dating from circa 800 to circa 1400, preferably from England. It should have some rarity or some exquisite artwork, perhaps detailing a renowned king in a wonderful portrait.
  5. I've slashed prices on many pieces. Be sure to have a look: http://www.historiccoinage.com/Spring.html
  6. I went for the dime, purely because it's got eye appeal and I don't think the halfpenny is unique. See here:
  7. I would imagine if it were a gunshot victim then the majority of damage would be in the centre as that's the point of impact. I would also imagine it to be much more irregular in pattern - this looks much more like blunt trauma or a precise strike. Very odd. At school we used to mess around with coins in all sorts of scenarios - chemicals, heat, force, etc. So I wouldn't be surprised if this suffered a similar fate.
  8. It looks as if it's been placed upon a nut/bolt and then hammered from above. It's definitely post-mint damage as I'm sure someone would've pulled it from circulation if it had such a peculiar feature, yet it is significantly worn.
  9. Spink will probably be your best bet.
  10. A good aVF one is about £30 - £40 in my opinion.Your best source for these is eBay but, if you're not keen, then maybe try vcoins or independent dealers.
  11. Again, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at. Labelling these coins as having 'plenty of fakes online' is needless, unfounded scaremongering. But good luck with your collecting in the future.
  12. The BoE have confirmed that Churchill will feature on a new £5 note. Hopefully it won't become the new Churchill crown... http://t.co/Y7fRKjkiqv
  13. The coin you've posted is of Henry III yet the link you have posted is for Norman. I am afraid that I do not follow you at all.
  14. The Reales, something a little different.
