  1. Looks very suspect. Any chance of larger photos?
  2. "A shipwreck containing 200 tonnes of silver worth about £150m has been found in the Atlantic - the largest haul of precious metal ever discovered at sea." Check this out.
  3. Great coins, Mat! Good to see this thread updated. Your shortcross penny is definitely Roberd on something, the mint signature is a little confusing but it looks like it may be Canterbury even though it appears to read CWN rather than CAN. Any chance of a better photo?

  9. Such brilliant coins! I can only imagine what your relationship with the postman must be, you must be so happy to see him.
  10. Henry III Voided Longcross penny. Class II. Nicole on London. Edward I penny. Bristol mint. One of the fullest flans I've seen in a while.
  11. A very good question! I don't have much of a set-up. All photos are taken in the natural English sunlight (what little there is... ) Most of them are taken in a photo-tent, a lot like this minus the lights and top. I situate it by a large window that's south-facing and then use my Fuji S200EXR to shoot them. It's a simple set-up and it works for the coins, usually. I hope that you like them.
  12. Thank you, Pat. I hope to add more to my collection over the summer - material permitting.
  13. Henry III Penny of Ireland, hence the triangle encompassing the portrait. Ricard on Dive, being Dublin mint. Type IV with single line to triangle, no pellets in obverse legend and crow fleur separated from the band.
  14. No profile comments? Well, that must mean you're tag! ;)

  15. I took some photos myself of the William II: Also, here is a Cnut penny that I've recently acquired: Quatrefoil issue, Edpine on Thetford with a small cross-pattee behind the bust.
  16. Thank you, gentlemen. It is a coin that I am to cherish for many years to come!
  17.
