  1. Over 1,000 not counting traders and dupes. Just received the 2x2 safeT pages to mount the safe T flips in. But like everything else time,time life does get in the way.
  2. This is my first ubiquitous numbered slot token that has a good for and amount on the reverse.
  3. what looks to be an early advertising token.Since there is no in trade or good for or cash value on it. This is the first one of that type I have seen. This is one of my favorites of the lot that I found. Can't explain why but the combination of devices on the faces are pleasing to me. Probably a genric style arcade token.
  4. In printing they were called dingbats, a little device to fill space and give visual interest. I think it is just to fill the one lobe so it wouldn't seem off balanced. I had thought that it the shape was a clover.
  5. I found this one interesting as it has two different styles of dies.
  6. What you say may be true today, but back when the older tokens were used it was more of an inducement for the patron to stay and keep drinking at the saloon they were given out at. And For the owner to keep the profit margins up.
  7. Here is a pair from the same place, found at the same time. Doesn't happen very often to me.

  9. Went thru the token catalog .com ran, it 6 different ways no joy with out the city or state it may be a never, neverland token.
  10. Haven't started even to look yet, I have seen some from pool halls and saloons that were 12 1/2 cent ones. made a good reason not to give real money back s change. plus they would use it at the establishment for another game of pool/billiards or mug of draft!
  11. That is weird It is 32mm dia and weighs 11.5. Were they all that size with the shell tokens, all of the US gas brands that had games over the years always had their brand on the tokens. it sure didn't age and patina like other zinc tokens. Interesting information. thanks

  14. The temperance one at the start sure appears to even be older than that one and another one is coming up.
  15. That was another one of the bonus ones as to age in the box there were a number of ones from the 1930's.
