  1. Here is some info that was posted on another site for somebody that expressed interest in starting transport token collecting. Here is their web page If you are a collector of Car Wash, Parking, or Transportation Tokens, you have come to the right place. Founded in 1948, the AVA is the oldest American organization of token collector http://www.vecturist.com/Now that the family issues have dissipated I'm thinking of joining again.
  2. Yes there are almost to many to keep track of, and there are another set type that was in this box too.
  3. Yep the spot price this morning is $1.75/lb for bright copper or less depending on how bad the local yard is ripping its customers off. I will look at what the LCS is selling the pound ingots for next visit. I think they were around $20.00 Yes the copper rounds are all over the place on price. What is funny to me there are two vendors that generally set up at the local monthly gun shows. One has prices that are reasonable the other guy's prices are 2 to 3 times the first price and he can't figure out why he isn't selling many of the rounds. The Chris Kyles ones are a little higher due to the fact they are raising money for the foundation.
  4. Came in the mail today. From the Chris Kyle foundation Chris Kyle Frog - Home Page
  5. Some of the older Chuckie's tokens Has 4 prongs on the back side for holding something, to large for a .50cent piece, a dollar fits but it is not a good fit.
  6. This is the nicest piece, if not the oldest a Temperance medal/tag A nice So-Called dollar to add to the Canadian collection
  7. These are really nice ones most are not as sharp either in the coin or the word copy. That is just the first batch from the box in the neighborhood of 30 plus tokens plus $1.78 in change US and about $2.16 in Canadian coins so with the real money plus the Chucky cheese tokens (15) it was a good day for the grand total of out of pockect for .06!
  8. Here are the take form the LCS $5.00 for all box. A delightful mix of assorted stuff. Plastic play money
  9. They also have some of them in silver so the dies are doing double duty.
  10. 5 oz rounds only, some of the same designs. I have seen the bars in 1 to 100oz from other suppliers. Most over the 1oz bars are really overpriced. Frankly even these are way more than the melt value of copper, but the rest is die charges art work etc.
  11. Nice obverse design caught my eye, being a rock hound, mining and mines interest. I known these are "foreign coins" , but because of the subject matter on them and they came out in a series every year. I classify them as exonumia. Since we are cat people, and help with a cat rescue and TNR for feral cats.I like these. Isle of Mann crowns that depict a different breed of cat each year.
  12. I belive they are only flash plated, I'm glad that it appears that I'm the lnly only one that collects the exonumia, over a wide genre. He does have a nice selection of higher end CWT and other high end tokens that I'm not interested in.
  13. The local Coin shop had some of a set of gold plated wonders of America, from the Hamilton mint
  14. I went by to check to see if the LCS got any new tokens in and nothing has come in. I have been looking at the crackers for 6 months, but he has had some other stuff that I wanted first
