  1. Here is the start of a trio of bi-metallic ones from a cafe in Chicago 1899
  2. If I can find items from any of the world fairs at a reasonable price I do buy them. But a lot of the items are way overpriced or they are called fakes, so some can buy them cheap! Mostly it has been tokens and books
  3. Early 1900's is all I can figure out so far. There seems to be a fair number out there so it probably isn't rare. Well finially finding it in Michigan trade tokens there are at least 7 different versions of them!

  7. Yep most don't why would they want to teach American history in our schools! there was a movie on the raid and the counter raid by the army.

  10. No as I found two of them in a box from my parents house with more whitman blue albums, and a the pouch of WWII coins/bills from China etc from my dad
  11. Found a bunch of coins and bills in a pouch, the coins were covered in a black tar/plastic substance from inside the pouch. The coins were run through a heated sonic cleaner only to clean them up to photo. As most on here know I'm a token collector and not World or US/Canadian coins. I need some help with the far east China coins. Father was in navy and spent a short time in China.
  12. These tend to show up all the time in the ID forum by people hoping they are real. Here is the context they were originally sold in. Not how they are now sold on the bay!
  13. While at the LGS checking to see if they replenished the 50% off bin I came across the perfect bullion gift for the grandson was born on the fourth of July. he will be 3 by the sunshine mint
  14. It doesn't appear to be as both sides are the same and stamping by hand would have some variation in the depth and position of the letters and the occasional show thru on the opposite side. All the lettering lines upand the number of them needed as a gaming chip, would make the cost prohibited.
  15. This is got to be the strangest token/gaming chip I have ever seen or picked up[umm] almost 2" dia. steel same both sides, no expense was spared in either the design or execution of them [
