  1. You know it would be great if we ever had a break down of the list into sub folders that we had before... that was really a great one Tane. This is for Imperial Russia from 1700's Петр I, Царь, Император Всероссийский (с 1682 по 1725) Tsar Peter I Екатерина I, Императрица Всероссийская (с 1725 по 1727) Ekaterina I Петр II, Император Всероссийский (с 1727 по 1730) Peter II Анна, Императрица Всероссийская (с 1730 по 1740) Anna Иоанн VI, Император Всероссийский (с 1740 по 1741) Ioann VI Елизавета, Императрица Всероссийская (с 1741 по 1761) Elizabeth Петр III, Император Всероссийский (с 1761 по 1762) Peter III Екатерина II, Императрица Всероссийская (с 1762 по 1796) Ekaterina II Павел I, Император Всероссийский (с 1796 по 1801) Pavel I Александр I, Император Всероссийский (с 1801 по 1825) Alexsander I Николай I, Император Всероссийский (с 1825 по 1855) Nikolai I Александр II, Император Всероссийский (с 1855 по 1881) Alexsander II Александр III, Император Всероссийский (с 1881 по 1894) Alexsander III Николай II, Император Всероссийский (с 1894 по 1917) Nikolai II ----- Российская Советская Федеративная Социалистическая Республика (РСФСР) (с 1917 по 1922) RSFSR - Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (с 1922 по 1991) USSR - Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic Российская Федерация - Россия (с 1991) Russian Federation
  2. OMG damn!!! That's nice!!! You know what? Honestly, I don't even have ANY Nikolai II coins Time to post more pictures of what I got
  3. Another one that deserves to be added in here: Definately not mine, but here it is http://www.triton.vg/ He is definately VERY detailed. Go and check it out!
  4. Recent Goldberg auctions. Some of the greatest Russian coins ever offered in this auction. You can stare at it all day long... I am pretty shocked at the prices they are going at, not including the commission fees. Initially they were on eBay as well. Goldberg auctions Enjoy...
  5. Nowadays, coin designs are not taken very seriously, as they are usually flat, or reeded. The reason why? Probably because there is no need for such high technology counterfeiting devices like the 1700-1800 period. During those times, crude strikes existed and such edge "protection" was possibly needed as a counterfeit device. I guess the reason why such technologies are not employed nowadays is because of the high running costs and it is reasonably hard to counterfeit recent design coins. (although Japan's 500 yen (approximately 5 dollar) coin was counterfeited twice in the last 8 years or so ) So going back to the topic, do you know any interesting coin edge designs? I know that France used to be pretty big on this time and this was evident in their franc coins. I think 10 franc was one of them. The most insane one that I know of is this one: LOL WHAT COIN IS THIS?!?!?! You can have a good laugh.
  6. Tip: Never save files as jpg. That's because it's compressing your files too much and you get some odd distortion. I am assuming that you are using MS paint, which is perfectly possible to do. Instead, save it as PNG. It will help. *Don't ask WHY, but it will *
  7. LOL nice one @ Shrek design. That is a really nice idea. I used to do something like this, but yes, I guess this is quite similiar to something called vouchers. Of course, vouchers are an excellent way to try to get the customers to come back and use it. And that is just perfect for the interaction of people in this channel The major problem with this is how you are going to fix a number against a price, supposingly if your coin is 50 USD, how are you going to price that in CP "dollars"? Another major issue would be, how are you going to back that CP "dollars"? Of course, it has to be backed upon some of your cash, properties on hand. How are these notes going to be made? By an inkjet printer? (totally 100% water soluable... ) Color laser printer? Etc. Yes, to solve those counterfeit issues, I had a seal that is "PRETTY" hard to counterfeit, + yes, I definately signed it. Each was individually labelled and also had a period of time when they had to be used, or they could be exchangable for newer ones. As for the design, I was really lame and took the designs out from various world coin designs and added them into the vouchers with "some" extra other borders, etc that I used to make... hehehe.
  8. PM sent ^_^ I still have a few copies of this book, so if you are still interested, please pm me!!!
  9. You know, I had a good laugh with this coin here: http://www.arcamax.ru/files/au/100/1996-00100-2-900-014.htm While most of the ship coins depicted here are ancient or "old" boats, that coin up there is a bit way too modern...
  10. Hi Banivechi!!! You know, from what I am gathering, a partial overstrike detail that you can see should hopefully not cost any more than 15-25USD. Here is another tip though... you might have to look through all the 2 kopeks from 1763-1766, as these are the most frequent years when overstriking happened, and also 1788 by Moscow Mint. But again, it all depends on how much you can see. A nice overstriked 4 kopeck coin was sold for about 50USD, because the details was more evident. But... all we know... is that... it would be nice if we had the real one like this... http://molotok.ru/catalog/view_item.php?id_sell=7516931
  11. A book which my friend and I helped each other and produced this great book. Often these rare coins are rarely mentioned in most catalogue books. Although such reading materials are available, most of them are not translated into English. In this book, there are at least 12 different coins described in here, with all the historical details of why it was minted. A catalogue value is also provided, which reflects the current trends this year. Of course, this will be a good idea what how such rare coins look like, as some of Imperial Commemorative coins may be as low as 100 dollars but some are starting to hit the high end of thousands, and some are starting to hit near 10 thousand dollars! Cost + postage around the world internationally is 7USD (sorry, ultra expensive shipping fees here ) If you want two copies however, I will make it 10USD. Not a problem at all. Payment: whatever way you wish, paypal is ok. *I am hoping Tane will give me his review later on... *
  12. WOW O_O That's nice!!! Russian security banknotes?!?!?! o_O Oh that reminded me. Yes, I have seen Australian polymer test trial banknotes. Except their prices are nowhere what I can afford... even if I were to sell my WHOLE collection away.
  13. Sorry, I just remembered some more. Korea 5 won coin (and it should be one of the cheapest out of all the coins above mentioned!!!): http://www.24carat.co.uk/southkoreaframe.html N.Korea has slightly more. http://www.similarcoin.com/underweb/Korea.htm (sorry, you gotta find them... should be 5 or so there. ) Another commemorative Singapore $10 ni-cupro coin http://auctions.yahoo.com/sg/i:%2A%20RARE%...%20%29:89925944 Will post more when I can think of more.
  14. Wow, nice proof fields... O_O
  15. Bermuda does have quite a fair bit actually. I am quite suprised. Most of them were minted in German mints except for the palladium one, was supposely is minted in Singapore. Palladium: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8310851467&rd=1 Gold: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8311112181&rd=1 http://www.pandaamerica.com/details.asp?it...grp=1&categ=116 http://www.pandaamerica.com/details.asp?it...grp=1&categ=116 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8312054861&rd=1 Silver: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8311514428&rd=1 Grrrrrrr there is no official homepage for Bermuda coins, so I don't know if there are a lot more. I presume there still are.
  16. WOW, that's a good question really. I can't think of any right now. You got me hard, biggandyy. What kind of country would feature guns on their banknotes... lol... The only possible countries that I can think of is either S. America or some old Phillipines banknotes... I mean even N.Korea does not have something like this... XD;;; unless I fail to notice the recent banknotes.
  17. I'm sure you don't want to find out the total price tag of those Russian coins if you ever wanted them... there are some that is 1kg of gold and silver coin... and one of them is a 3kg silver coin... + Russian coins are ultra ultra ultra hard to get hold of... trust me... I struggle pretty hard ti get hold of just some of them... platinum and palladium are a lot worse... Here is one unique one that I found. A "glass" coin featuring a Chinese junk. http://www.joelscoins.com/oops.htm#congojunk Meh, there should be a Taiwanese coint hat depicts the Chinese junk too but I can't find it right now at the moment.
  18. Interesting overstrikes that I come across and they are in my collection now. 1730 Anna 1 kopeck over 1717 Peter I 1/2 kopeck (Mint type unknown) 1731 Anna 1 kopeck over 17xx Peter I 1/2 kopeck (Moscow mint) 1731 Anna 1 kopeck over 17xx Peter I 1/2 kopeck (almost undetectable) 1765 2 kopecks over 1762 PeterIII 4 kopecks 1766 2 kopecks over 1762 PeterIII 4 kopecks (probably double strucked) Unconfirmed 1798/7 (overdate) Pavel I over 1760s denga... ?!?!?! (too tiny to be traced... but there are some outlines of it...) There should be at least another three more coming in... so hopefully I can update this list... (I rather not put them in now for the moment ) I am hoping to find a double overstriked coin... as in... 3 different designs in one coin...!!! Do you have one?
  19. I know Bermuda has some coins, but in palladium, but I am not too sure. I am a Russian coin collector. I am going to spam a few links here. Russia has TOO many: (this is just a list of them) I could have missed some too ENJOY Silver: (Soviet Union) http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/3/1990-00003-1-900-001.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/3/1991-00003-1-900-007.htm Russia http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/3/1993-00003-1-900-001.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/25/1996-00025-1-900-008.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/25/1996-00025-1-900-009.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/25/1996-00025-1-900-010.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/25/1996-00025-1-900-011.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/100/1996-00100-1-900-012.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/100/1997-00100-1-900-023.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/25/2003-00025-1-900-006.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/100/2003-00100-1-900-007.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/ag/2003-00200-1-900-008.htm Palladium: (soviet union) http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1990-00025-4-999-009.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1990-00025-4-999-010.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1991-00025-4-999-008.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1991-00025-4-999-009.htm Russia: http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1993-00025-4-999-002.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1993-00025-4-999-003.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1994-00025-4-999-006.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pd/1994-00025-4-999-007.htm Platinum: (soviet union) http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pt/1990-00150-3-999-011.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pt/1991-00150-3-999-010.htm Russia: http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pt/1993-00150-3-999-004.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/pt/1994-00150-3-999-005.htm Gold: (No ships in gold minted during Soviet Union that I know of right now) Russia: http://www.arcamax.ru/files/au/50/1996-00050-2-900-013.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/au/100/1996-00100-2-900-014.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/au/1997-01000-2-999-024.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/au/2001-01000-2-999-016.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/au/2003-01000-2-999-011.htm http://www.arcamax.ru/files/au/2003-10000-2-999-012.htm Meh, I don't know how many I left out, but again, I don't know if you made it all the way here
  20. Two exceeding scarce ones that just popped out in my mind. One of the most recent ones of which I know is Japan's 2000 yen note (issued in 2000), as there was a massive horror with one of the printing plates, as some workers were slacking hard. Iinterestingly, the serial numbers were manually placed (YES, MANUALLY IN 2000) and error did happen. There are approximately 1,000 notes of such that were printed with such errors, but you will never know the exact figure. And this was only located in one region of Japan, so the distribution of these error notes are exceedingly scarce. A rumor is that some of them are going over 5,000USD because of the ultra scarcity of Japanese error banknotes. Another one that I know is Singapore's 10 dollar was misprinted (printed approximately 10 years ago), as in, half of the details just went "woosh". Or more like, it didn't pass through all of the stages of the plate printing, so there are quite a lot of details that got left out. Those notes are exceedingly rare and easily go over 1,000USD. Some of the banknotes in Australia here obviously had some problems when they first converted to polymer notes. The most common one was that some of them were printed way too fast, thick, and presumably didn't have enough time to dry, and hence you get those "washed up" effects of a polymer types. The most common ones are the 10 and 50 dollar bills, presumably because the blue dye color used probably needed more time to dry. Prices vary accordingly to how herrific the "error" effect is.
  21. Wow jesus. That's something that I have never done before. I have gone through 1,000+ coins before, but nothing like that Nor have I seen that much coins in a pile either
