  1. My prize from Blackhawk came in today. 1962 Franklin half, EF/AU. Thanks!
  2. Thanks. I thought it was going to be a 2006 SAE. This was a Morgan I didn't have either so whoopie!
  3. Medal from the collectors edition of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC Game). Pretty cool medal, VERY nicely struck on the obverse, really deep. Didn't even know it came with the game. I was surprised (didn't see it listed on the box the first time I looked)!
  4. Received the coin I won from the coin show. 1896 Morgan dollar. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v154/burks/wooster.jpg
  5. At least at this show I won a raffle prize. A "silver dollar" valued at $30. They are sending it out in the mail today.
  6. Went to the Wooster High School Coin Show today. Really didn't see much (many of the same dealers I see show after show in Toledo). Did pick up: 1992 Great Britain 5 Pence. Gold toned rims. For 12 cents, it had to be mine. 1951/52 Morocco 50 Francs. One of the coolest designs I've ever seen. 1955 British Caribbean Territories 1/2 Cent. Pretty reds and blues. 1945 Malaya 1 Cent. My first square coin (bought my dad one as well). 1952 East Africa 5 Cent. I love the designs from that country. 1964 Venezuela 5 Centimos. Nearly bag mark free. 1979 France 50 Francs. Been wanting one of these for quite a while. For $11 in UNC condition, I couldn't pass it up (below bullion). I did see a nice display of fake coins. Lots of 09-S-VDB cents, 1916-D dimes, and even a 1913 Liberty Nickel. Pretty interesting to see. That's all for today Might throw a few pictures up later tonight.
  7. Interesting fact. Didn't know anything about that. Guess I need to read up some more. The colors caught my eye while digging through the box. The way they formed on both sides accents the design quite nicely. My goal was to get Farthings and Swiss coinage, I get distracted easily in the 50% off box
  8. Went to Willard's Coin Exchange today (my favorite place for bargains). Picked up: 1941 Netherland East Indies 1/4 Gulden. Gold toned. 1960-B Switzerland 1/2 Fr. 1975 Netherlands 5 Cents. Toned bright blue. 1920 Cuba 1 Centavo. Pictured below.
  9. Yet again. Bought 3 nice coins off Bill. The Italy one is just.....
  10. East African coinage is somewhat hard to find but the designs are eye catching. I have a few and plan on adding more. I like the Moroccan piece (French Protectorate). That's a lot of work on such a small area.
  11. The same dealer has two equally toned Columbians. Same price and grade. This one had the better obverse toning compared to the 1893. The 1893's obverse was nice but the reverse was fantastic. Too bad it had a very large thumb print or it would have went home with me instead.
  12. Yes the Buffalo is THAT color. It caught my eye and will looks fantastic in my Type Set.
  13. I hope they are still doing those Saturday! Lovely items Nice Half Crown you posted above. The reverse on those are really attractive in any condition.
  14. The long awaited 1909-VDB: That coin is MUCH better than those I've seen at shows for $25+. A big thanks to LostDutchman Here is a 1937 that was won from an Ebay auction. Took a gamble with no pictures. I got the better end of the deal
  15. Great package from Kboy 45 Mercs 11 Roosies (only 1 non-silver)
  16. I love Canadian half dollars. The reverse design is soooo nice.

  18. Once again, another fantastic coin.
  19. Dad said he found this behind the TV not too long ago. Guess the Easter Bunny got a bit lost after last Easter. 1oz of silver.
  20. A few medals my family brought back for me from New York City. First is kind of like those penny machines you see all over. Except this one strikes a large blank right in front of you. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v154/burks/DSC02337.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v154/burks/DSC02338.jpg Next is pretty easy to explain, the pictures do well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v154/burks/DSC02335.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v154/burks/DSC02336.jpg
  21. Here are some of the pics I promised: 1959 East Africa 1 Cent (toned). My favorite one out of the bunch. Pictures just don't capture all the colors very well. 1944-D Philippines 20 Centavos (toned) 1952 French Oceania 5 Francs (just a great looking design) 1956 South Africa 1 Farthing (toned) 1937 England 1 Farthing (toned)
  22. Impressive. That's a lot of coinage. Netherlands *drools*
  23. Tax Refund!!!!! Less than I expected ($85) but I set it up where I got more money back on my checks and less back on my refund. It's being put toward a $100+ purchase at Columbus on the 28th
  24. For 75 cents, I took a chance. If it isn't silver I still picked up a great looking coin. I'll have to weigh it at school Friday (don't have a scale at home). Never understood why they would change through the year. Just make a short run of silver for the year and double up on the copper-nickel the next.
  25. Picked up a handful at the coin shop today. Pics to come Monday on a few of them (great colors!). 1937 England 1 Farthing (toned) 1956 South Africa 1 Farthing (toned) 1959 East Africa 1 Cent (toned) 1944-D Philippines 20 Centavos (toned) 1952 French Oceania 5 Francs 1967 Netherlands 1 Gulden (silver?) 1962 Canada 50 Cent (XF) 1939 Great Britain 1/2 Crown (VF/XF)
