Ian
This one is in whitemetal Flatbed scanners are pretty useless for imaging very three dimensional medals and coins. Sorry but the images are a bit fuzzy in consequence. Nevertheless, it gives a pretty good idea as to the depth of field obtained on the medal itself. Something's niggling away at me as this reminds me of a German thaler...and also a Papal piastre. Trouble is I can't remember which ones off hand (?) tabbs
For an 1851 medal, that looks ultra-modern, especially the side with the inside view. Amazing! Christian
akdrv
The internal perspective of the exposition hall is amazing, expecially for 1851.
Art
Very nice. Sometimes I think collecting medals would be much nicer than your average coin collection. (Herassy -- go ahead and try to spell that.)
Ian
Very nice. Sometimes I think collecting medals would be much nicer than your average coin collection. (Herassy -- go ahead and try to spell that.) Ah, but only heretics are capable of heresy. Lovers of aesthetics in any form are aesthetes or so i'm told. Maybe that's just an example of heresay at work though.
