I don't collect by date and mint mark any more and many sets are virtually impossible for the average collector to complete in BU because of the cost of selected pieces. Many sets can be completed at an affordable price in circulated condition. Your coin is a nice reminder that circulated coins, matched at some attractive circulation level, can make a interesting and appealing collection. Nice coin.

My grandmother was born in 1923 so that is always a special year for coins for me. Curiously my nicest BU example of a wheat cent is a bright spanking red 1923 in MS-65, I also have a nice MS-65 Saint from that year.

I too say nice coin. I wouldn't worry to much about if ever cleaned. As long as you are keeping that one or any so called cleaned coins, what difference does it make. As long as it's your coin, if cleaned, waxed, polished, dipped or anything, it's no ones buisness since it's your coin. And that one is nice.
