Amastris circa 100 AD with the Bust of Homer?

Not a Russian coin. You'll find out more if you ask in the appropriate section of the forum.

Amastris in Paphlagonia, Roman imperial times,

Obv.: "OME - POC" , Bust of Homer right.

Rev.: "AMASTRIANON / MELES" , river god Meles reclining left, his right holding lyre, his left arm resting on urn.

Ref.: Waddington, Rec. Gén. page 140, 46-47 ; plate XIX, fig. 3. (no. 46: 27-29 mm, no. 47: 21-24 mm)

for different reverse type: cf. Imhoof-Blumer in SNR 23, 1923, p. 259, 214.

I would wager my first born that coin is fake :ninja:

The metal of the first is unusual as is the appearance. But the difference in weight is significant so I'm suspicious.

It looks more like a Hans Krauwinkel-esque style.
