Dan769
Went into one of our bank branches where I work and the lead teller who knows I like coins and such, asks me, you interested in these? She hands me 12, pretty worn but still decent not torn Silver $1 dollar certificates. All dated 1957. Of course I said I'll take em, for face, who wouldn't? Thing is she had already picked out the better ones, and another teller told me she recently found proof coins coming into the bank. Old stuff is still out there, especially in this economy. Art
Good finds. I'm sure there's a lot of saved stuff being spent these days and probably a few filched collections too.

Blackhawk
I worked in a grocery store during the economic downturn of the late 70's early 80's. Granted, that was 30 years ago, but every now and again someone would pay for their groceries with silver coins that they had saved. The manager kept the good stuff in a bread pan that he had in the safe.
