kisenish
Dear community Please leave your opinions about this piece: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=320044270034 Everything is ok, but I don't like the patina on the portrait side Maybe I'm overcautious. Do you think this kind of patina is ok for this coin or can these be cast remainings? Confusing is that another side is ok... Thanks a lot! Kisenish, Here is what I see after some Photoshop manipulation with the pictures. Pictures made darker for a purpose. The purpose was to hide large dark stain in the right obverse field, there are also couple small scratches in the right obverse field too (closer to the Emperor's chin). On the reverse patina looks also strange, may be it is over old cleaning but can't say for sure. If not that details are XF or so, quite pleasing. It's up to you to decide on authenticity and if you want to buy it from this seller. Also I see that this seller has no experience of selling anything, all feedback earned as a buyer. Good luck! IgorS
This coin is a fake. There was another one just like it on Ebay a few month back and it sold for a lot. Stay away.

IlyaE
This seller was selling several fake coins, I think all of the roubles he is selling are fakes, except 1899
iasonas
Hi! I new here. That coins is suspicious because of her poor presentation. But if the seller offer a money back guarantee, maybe it is genuine and, it is a good deal...
banivechi
Welcome here iasonas! Something strange about the 1729 rouble seller: he offer some rare coins in XF condition, and a common 1899 rouble in F... Hmmm... I don't like this! An equal curiosity is that the coin brought more than $1500 and the seller says that insurance is not offered. Who would pay that much for a coin without insurance?
