  1. Thank you, guys, for your replies! As for me, for such a rare coin, the condition is more than ok (assumed, the coin is genuine) - I don't see 1848MW coins every day If I get the better one, I'll replace, but as for now, I'm glad to have this one. Actually, in the hand it looks much better than on the picture.
  2. Your opinions are very welcome Thanks a lot in advance!
  3. Hi guys, I would like to contribute to this interesting topic with my coin. The overdate on it I saw years ago, but did not consider it to be such rare It seems to be that my coin is from the same die as that of Rarenum (also with a dot between 17 and 62) @Steve Moulding: Is it a 3rd exemplar or do you have it already in your database? Thanks!
  4. thanks, Josh! almost forgot about the feedback, I'll do it now
  5. thanks a lot for the reference! I coudn't find any.

  8. Hi Sigi, Nice to see you here! I'm preparing now for the recruiting day very soon (looking forward to changing the job) - unfortunately, no auctions this spring almost no time for my beloved hobby... Nevertheless, interesting things sometimes: Look what I got 2 days ago, you may be interested (look on the wings - transition type: one wing type 1770, another - type 1780): http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=150329271407
  9. Thanks, RWJ! I own a Rouble 1762 MMD (Peter III) with the same die defect (St. George broke away), that's why I was wondering (and a bit scared ) I saw the Roubles 1762 with such defect several times, one was sold on Goldberg 32/3658.
  10. Guys, After a long break, I'm visiting this forum again Just wanted to ask - was the coin in discussion (fake published in JRNS, see above) the Rouble of Peter III MMD (if you click on the link now, you'll see this coin) or has the seller put a new coin on the same listing? This Rouble looks pretty ok to me
  11. Hi Bob, Several weeks ago I also was bidding on Poltina 1909 on eBay, however, I didn't want to spend sooo much:) : http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=320243277136 I was also overbid on Poltina 1908 recently, but I don't find this eBay item now.
  12. my God, they really slabbed it I agree with RW Julian, almost every day there are a lot of Chinese fakes this coin is identical of. Actually, I set my eBay now to show the country of seller, if it is China, I even don't look
