2nd and 3rd photo are indeed from Sausalito CA, right as you step off the ferry that arrives from the Ferry Building.

That would be a cud.

Hard to say exactly from that photo, but it looks like it might be a lamination issue.

Welcome

Struck copies, nickel alloy, and as constantius noted, relatively modern, likely no more than 10-15 years old.

Nice collection you've got going. I like the new coin but honestly have never heard of the place.
Likewise. Tortoises are cool, but I'm not a big fan of issues for places that wouldn't actually have a use for currency.
It reminds me of the concept of fantasies in the stamp world.

You can always keep a few excellent examples aside for professional grading and slabbing. Check the price movement on graded examples. I've found that usually anything other than MS70 or PF70 DCAM coins can be had for less than the cost of the raw coin and the grading service. Most of my dimes as an example are PF69DCAM.
This. Those who submit in bulk can get far cheaper pricing, and so on moderns, it's often easier to buy in the secondary market, especially if you're happy to take anything less than absolute perfect.

Sample SD? Well I'll be!

1913 nickel and brasher, yes, but a stella hasn't been crossed off my list yet of things to see.

If you can kindly provide a photo we might be able to assist with the attribution.

Haven't heard of it before so I can't make a recommendation either way.

Wow, that is just weird.

Neat! What size was this, and was it cast or milled?

Labour day is one of the holidays that we share, yes.
In regards to de-collecting, you've pretty much nailed it in that it's basically a cost-benefit analysis between parceling it out bit by bit for more money (essentially, think of it as work), or just moving things out wholesale. The main benefit of the latter is that it just goes done with, and there's no hard feelings, especially if an individual items you had a bit more of an attachment to sells poorly.

I'm with Art. A poorly colorized piece is better than a piece that's half cleaned, especially if there's any selective plating.
With the former, it'd likely still trade the same as a regular SAE. With the latter, it might be considered to be a damaged piece and trade at a discount.
