Recently picked up this overstrike. Not sure what to do with it, anyone interested?

Could also be a direct overstrike of a 5 kopecks that were re-edged to become 10 kopecks, but never did. Hard to tell without traces.

I don't think I've ever seen a full brockage of the 5 kopecks. Are there known examples?

Why do you think that this is brockage and not a die clash?

We were just talking about these on page 9!

IMHO, the 1761 is very good for the type.

Coins go in and out of fashion, and there's always a luck factor when buying or selling. I noticed that there isn't much demand for the Wings Down copper 10 kopecks from CM, even though there isn't much supply of them either.

Oh yes, I was a copper collector. Now I am pursuing only one series - A1 minors from 1802-1810. Getting there.

From the other series I just kept some favorites from Peter I to Paul I.

Enviable! My strategy involves limiting myself from collecting everything, I cannot even fathom having a narrow focus. For the A1 minors do you mean only the 10/25/50 kopeck pieces? That's very ambitious!

About 3 years ago I sold my A1 5 kopeks in WWCC auction. So now possibly you have one of IgorS' coins. Had a pretty good run - only 3 toughest mules missing (1805, 1809, and the newly discovered 1810). Kept one. Could not part.

Finally got a descent KM piatak:

Hard to tell with blurry pictures. There is something under Nicholas' nose that shouldn't be there.

There are strangely misaligned traces of a die clash right above the line. The line seems to follow the banner, is it the empty space between the bottom of the banner and the edge of the die?
