I'm doing well, my friend! I'm sure you've been good too? My African collection is slowing, as it is to be expected I suppose. But I am bolstering some of my U.S. in the meantime. I am xpecting an experimental (red S) note soon. I'm always on the lookout for the Spain P126 1 Peseta, P127 5 Pesetas, P129 5 Pesetas too. Harder to find in decent quality than I expected, but I have come close a few times on each one... just waiting for that UNC one to show up (and at a decent price ).

Nice set of note there, MMMM! I agree that they are rather hard to see detail in them due to the color scheme. Nice idea they had, though. And Madison - I see you're collection of Spanish notes is growing very nicely! Congrats to you both.

Got my set of South Sudan banknotes in today. I like them myself.

This is a great note - One of my all time favorite notes. This note just struck me as a beautiful composition with elements I appreciate. There's quite a lot to it actually. Congrats on getting it into your collection.

Got my two new CHinese banknotes in today. These are quite large - one is 2.75 X 10 inches and the other is 3.6 X 9.5 inches. By far the largest notes of this type I've encountered yet. They are quite different from my others not only in size, but in their vignettes as well as the seals - especially the red seal depicting a person instead of a geometric shape (diamond, square and rectangle were most common). This one is a 1925 100 Coppers from Kirin, Yu He Kong Bank This next one is 6000 Cash Shantung, Chang Shing He Chi Bank

Nice notes guys! Congrats to DF911 for getting the first posted image of the new South Sudan currency! As for that Estonian note, well, now I've seen it bigger and I like it better... thedeadpoint is right about that lake scene. And Arts new MPC rocks too! (nice photos btw)

I finally found this Estonia 10 Krooni in AU - Most of them ar in VF or less... usually less. Never seen one offered in UNC, so I got this one, and cheap too!

Got these two new Costa Rica Notes in today. Pretty cheap and colorful. The 1000 is polymer, but the 2000 is still paper.

Got this nice 1928G $2 USN today. Better than I had expected.

That is a nice Brazil 50 note you have MauMau. I like the two view of the leopard on the back and there's one in the strip on front too, and it looks like 'vegetation' even goes over the strip, as if he's looking out from behind a bush...different and very neat.

Nice notes Pickman and Saor Alba! As for the US MPC during the Elvis years, I found some in 1958 and in 1961. But as for the 1959 and 1960 I did not find reference to them in my catalogs... anyone else care to check?

Thanks MauMauNotes! I've been eyeing the latest Mexican notes myself. I'm sure to get them eventually. I do like that Fiji 50 with the vignette on the reverse of the ceremony of cession. I like their older notes as well.

Woo Hoo! I got my notes from the Cayman Islands today! It's definitely worth getting them from the Central Bank.... I had to wait just under 2 months to get them, but the cost savings was worth it. The service was pretty good too. Let me know when they shipped it and was sent Registered mail and packaged very good.

You certainly do have some rarities there, especially with the autographed proofs. I especially like your layout with the banknotes and additional photos depicting the models and the areas shown on the banknotes. These are pretty cool notes. I like the various guilloche designs on the face. Looks like diagrams of tears in Space-Time.

Wow MMMM! Great notes - but three months! I've ordered a set as well (after saying I wouldn't), and I've got about two and a half months to wait - Oh, the agony! Six Reds?????? Man, that's lucky indeed. I used to ask around at different banks here, but they all told me the same thing. They have no need to order new currency due to people recycling their notes, and as for older currency, there simply isn't any. Of course I can think of only one "old" bank here too.... all the others are strip mall types or too new to have any older money in them I guess. Anyway, congratulations on the neat find!

Well, I kinda' stumbled onto this and I hemmed and hawed over it for a while and then I went ahead and got it. I'm pretty happy with this note and it's vignettes. The Union Military Scrip was issued to pay for damages inflicted by Confederate Maj. General Sterling Price, who had been directed to Missouri, but had continued further into Kansas, and later into Arkansas. His damages from what were known as the Price Raid, were paid by the government via these scrip which were issued in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 and 1000 dollars. This is the only type of payment I am aware of in which the government issued payment in like manner. I am not currently aware of how these were dispersed.
