  1. Kewl, I like those early dated coins with the different 4 numeral
  2. Wait 'til you see the Clinton one in the 8th printing. It is a duzy!
  3. My first AAFES pogs, wanted these for a while, even got extras for the kiddies. These bring back fond memories of my Air Force Brat days and PX chits!
  4. From 1875-1877 the Carson City, NV mint struck dimes for circulation. This is fortunate for collectors whom are trying to collect coins by mintmark, as these dimes were struck in fairly large quantities and thus are affordable options for collecting Carson City coins. Circulated dimes like this 1876-CC are obtainable for less than $20 each.
  5. Wow DW I see the seed planted for your daughters soon to be voluminous coin collection
  6. I was hoping someone could beat mine, really That is cool with the early variant of the numeral 4.
  7. Those Polish-Lithuanian coins are cool, I need one too.
  8. When I was a kid I bought an 1822 Large Cent at a state fair once, for a few weeks it was my oldest dated coin until I got a well worn but discernable 1817 Large Cent, a couple of years later I bought a 1797 Large Cent, then went downhill from there after getting into foreign coins. So far, this coin that I purchased probably 15 yrs ago remains my earliest dated coin from coins dated in the Christian era, a 1508 Hungarian Denar minted during the reign of Wladislaw II Jagiello of Hungary(1490-1516) Hungarian denars because of their great quantity remain the easiest and most affordable way to obtain a very early dated coin. Please post a pic of your earliest dated coin, perhaps someone has something older than this.
  9. Small find! ? Excuse me! For $110 you got coins worth over $1100. Sorry doesn't qualify as a "small find", but congratulations are in order for a major find!
  10. I sure wish I could trade 170 lbs of aluminium for 1204 lbs of aurum.
  11. I got a 1957-D wheat in change yesterday.
  12. My ankle biters got a Hong Kong 1ยข note from a certain British Columbian!
  13. That last example either became a pocket piece or circulated or a bit of both.
  14. Spend $25 and get a box of pennies, contains 2500 coins. About 500-700 of them should be bronze, about 10-15 s/b wheats. Nickels are also good to search. Dimes and Quarters, forget about it. Halves can be good if you can find them, you can even get Walkers, Franklins and silver Kennedy's.
  15. How about if I correctly grade the coin, I win it
  16. Tuesday night I got a 1945 and a 1947-D cent in change in the same transaction. After asking the cashier to check for more, they were the onliest ones.
  17. I see the mailman misdelivered my mail yet again. How the world did my Saints end up in Oregon?
  18. Very quick pay, thank you for bidding on the 1885-O, I will miss Anna but I know she is going to a better home.
  19. Yes, there are. I got a 2 Eurocent from Germany, mintmark J in a roll of coins about two months ago. Previously I got a 1 Eurocent from France last year sometime. The most unusual find this year is the 7 sided 20 pence from the UK in a roll of nickels.
  20. 1963 Dime, colour looked a bit off, and I saw it was dated in the '60s but I didn't give it a second glance until later when I noticed the edge! Silver
