  1. Just wait till you see the 2006 edition!
  2. yesterday I got a stack of 5-euro comems from Trantor_3!
  3. I didn't really look for coppers since I am mainly into silver. I know he has some older 8-reales going back to the 1700s, but those are not unc and not cheap! They may be good prices for what they are, but they were between $200 and $800 which was more than I wanted to spend on a Mexican coin right now. If there is something you are really looking for, let me know and I'll take a look. This dealer is based in Kalamazoo I believe and tends to come to all the montly local shows.
  4. Well, the same dealer is going to be at another local show in 3 weeks, so if you want, send a list of the dates you need and the prices you'd pay and I'd be happy to pick some up for you. As I recall, they had a lot of nice unc. ones from the 1930s and 1940s for prices ranging from $5 to $9 (and when they tally it up they usually take a little off too!). Just let me know.
  5. Ok, the mailman only brought my coin world, but I went to the local show today and went a little crazy on the mexican! I really couldn't help it, they were really pretty and oh so cheap! The first are some classic pesos from 1938 and 1943, then a 1956 5-peso Hidalgo, then a couple 1968 Olympic 25-pesos (one is Prooflike) then two 1-ounce silver rounds dated 1985 commemorating two of the most famous Mexican designs. In total these coins contain 4.23 ounces of pure silver and I paid $41.50 for all of them!
  6. I see the same dealers all the time at the monthly South Bend show too, but at least their inventory changes!
  7. well it's now posted in the grading challenge forum!
  8. Ok, I got these two a week or so ago for my type set: And no, this one wasn't from Lostdutchman: I think I'll post the 3CN in the guess the grade forum.

Bought a BU roll of 1964 Kennedy Halves and they are terrific! Thanks!
  10. I got my 09 cent from Lost Dutchman, and she went right into my album, while the old one went into my duplicate album.

    Art

Did a trade with Art, and the Lincolns he sent were wonderful!
  14. Yesterday I got some BU Lincolns from Art for my main set (not even the duplicate set I'm assembling!), and a silver dollar and 2-cent piece from ccq. And last week when I got the snorter package, Kuhli sent some more Lincolns for my second set!
  15. I got these yesterday in the mail: I went a little crazy a weekend ago on eBay with this one seller. I got a kick out of those big silver $5 from the Bahamas, and you know I love the balboas! I have an extra of the proof half balboa and will likely put that up on the auction forum.
  16. even so, it's a great coin for the price!
  17. Nice pickups! That Barber has great details, but it looks like it got too close to the fire!
  18. I got these in the mail yesterday, now I only need a 2003 to complete my set!
  19. Well, the last few days have been pretty good! First, here is a coin I picked up at our last coin club meeting, which completes my set of business strike 2-cent coins (finding a descent small motto 1864 is tough when the motto is usually the first thing worn smooth!). I tried to get it in enough light to see the motto, and although I don't have a photo of a large motto to compare it with, you can see that the letters are short and fat, while the LM letters are tall and skinny. Next I got a nice silver round from the meeting for only $10, and it had such a nice liberty seated design I couldn't resist. Next to it is a 2000 Libertad which fills another hole in my set (when all is said and done, I need only a 2003 to complete the set now). Next are the two key dates for the Libertad series that I received yesterday in the mail. The 1998 is the absolute key date as the mintage is only 67,000. The other key date is the 1987, and in this case I bought the 1987 doubled die variety, which you can see better in the close up photo, where there are two dots in the ".999" the numbers are also clearly doubled but harder to see here.
  20. I just got these yesterday: Funny how the 2006 Libertad has the same frosty surface that I noticed on the 2006 ASEs earlier. Must be the water! Then I also got this upgrade yesterday:
  21. My bank branch got some a couple weeks ago, so I put away two with consecutive serial numbers in my stash of notes from circulation.
  22. I got these in the mail yesterday along with a new album to put them all in! I decided to put together a set from 1982-date.
  23. I sent them an e-mail, haven't heard back yet. I would be willing to return it for a full refund, or get some sort of credit for my next purchase (there's only about a $200 difference between a 62 and 63), or I keep it until I find an upgrade and never do business with that company again. We'll see.
