  5. A photo would help in seeing what you are talking about and a close up photo also would be helpful
  6. a photo would help in seeing what you are talking about and IMHO sounds like post mint damage and the no mint mark is common in coins made in at the Philadelphia mint

  8. advice: research your coins and such before you start thinking you have something get coin books, look up errors online and then if you still think you have something send it in to a grading company and see what they say

  15. best advice is go out and get books on errors that will be a start
  16. only clean the coin if needed, yeah some people do dip the coin but unlucky for them over time the coin will turn and no matter how careful one is there is always leftover chemical film that will turn the coin, i have seen dipped coins that have become ugly over time to dip a coin to save it yeah i'm for that, but to enhance the coin and later have the coin turn not for that
  17. this is a neat die crack error that hits the U
  18. or buy one already graded by a grading company that way you have a coin that was looked over by experts and given a expert opinion
  19. then if you think this is the real deal send it to a grading company and see what they think that way you have expert opinions backing your opinion up this way not many can say otherwise as you have had experts look it over and give their opinions on the coin
