  1. So those concentric circles are the reducing lines where the reducer's "stencil" traces the medal?
  2. You know.... I've accumulated a lot of foreign notes (I'm from the US) that are similar to that. And I wondered the same thing - why does it look like print on paper?? I think it's legitimate.
  3. Is she made of base metal? Love the symbolism of the obverse
  4. *rimshot* I bet the NRA wouldn't be a four-letter word in much of America if shooting festivals were as elegant as these
  5. Kornholio is right - go for it. Worst case scenario - you get $750. Best case - It's graded MS-64 and is worth a lot more.
  6. What makes you say that? (serious learning question)
  7. I can't answer that but someone here more experienced can!
  8. I'd love to see a list of the most valuable coin for each major series..
  9. I'll give her MS-63 for a little wear on the high points. Beautiful!
  10. Looks cleaned! Why would someone clean it AND spend it?
  11. Ok, DreamFlight. You are a beast on this. You are amazing. But can you do another rundown of how many you've crossed off and how many are left? I've gotten lost.
  12. Hope you learn more about the India coin. Looks old!
  13. That's the Woods-White signature which is the 2nd hardest to get of the three signature combinations. Probably worth $50 or so w/o the star. Probably worth in the $80s with it. Nice! (definitely may be off but i'm too lazy to look)
  14. Not sure you can buy, swap, or sell yet!
  15. Hello CoinPeople! It's been a while since we've done a Popular Coin Idol or a Popular Note Idol. For those of you who have never participated, it's basically a head-to-head tournament to choose a coin or a note that is best looking, rarest, funniest, etc. Sometimes the contests are straight-up best-looking coin. Sometimes they are themed around metals, ugly coins, even Super Bowl contenders. How about we have a contest this year themed around holidays? The holiday seasons are coming up and we can celebrate the many holidays around the world on coins and notes and medals. What counts as a holiday? Well - Independence Days, Christmas, birthdays, Halloween, Yom Kippur, May Day, etc If you like that idea, I'll need help from several people to organize the contest. I need people to help organize the brackets, make posts, etc. Please let me know if you can help to some degree. It'll make the contest go so much better.
