elverno
I've always liked unofficial coinage. The Tyrolean insurrection took place when the people of the area, led by an innkeeper named Andreas Hofer decided to object to their country being given to Bavaria by Napoleon. It took a full scale invasion by Bavarian and French forces to put the insurgency down and Hofer was executed by firing squad on February 20, 1810. The coinage was produced, I believe, at the Hall mint. This piece has been in my collection a while but just got re-photographed. I didn't really capture the stunning colors.
