Beautiful Coins Again
From what I think I see, I'll go MS65 on the 1828 and because I can't tell what the surfaces are like on the 1831, I'll say AU58.

2coins
The first one is a SEGS MS-64, and the other is a PCI MS-60. Iam buying the coins not the holders, After I get them Ill decide the grade myself and let you'al know my feelings on them, also the second one has some doubleing on the eagle!, I want to get a closer look at it when I get it in hand!! I SPLIT= GRADE these types of older coins, ware you may see sometimes isnt ware, its strike!. Its way harder to find these Bust halves with great strikes, and you will pay for it also! Burks
On the 1831, is the banner above the eagle's head worn or just the strike? Can't tell from the picture.

bustchaser
Both are cleaned and retoned, the 28 much more harshly than the 31 (which from the pic actually looks fairly nice). Without the cleaning the 28 would appear to be in the MS 63 range. With the cleaning it should not be graded as MS. The 31 looks to be in the AU 55-58 range.
