A lovely "Britannia" and her lion graced the front of the Dominion Bank notes during the 1920s.

Dominion Bank opened it's doors in Toronto in 1871, with a very selective and conservative approach to banking that sustained growth over the longterm. In 1955 Dominion Bank merged with Bank of Toronto to become Toronto Dominion Bank or TD Bank.

The reverse vignette of a beaver is one of the more fascinating proprietary vignettes from Canadian Charter notes. One of the aspects of this note I have always liked is the colour contrasts of black and green in multiple printing passes.
