SMS Posted February 5, 2011 Report Share Posted February 5, 2011 It looks like someone dipped the coin in some chemical to mimic the look of an experimentally rinsed 2001-P Sac. Of the approximate 2500 coins that were tried in the U.S. Mint's experimental dip to prevent spotting on the coin, I believe that all were from the Philadelphia mint.
