i know a guy here in town that loves the tokens, he must have an example from every store here that used to use them.. his birthday is coming up and i'd love to get him one made for his store. i guess i'd either have to design it, or maybe just send a picture of the storefront and details to some company that'd do this... do they exist?

would that be the best approach..... or should i hunt down a cheap press.. which would still cost a ton i assume, and i'd probably hardly ever use it once i made it...

whataya think .. i have til november

Contact Col Steve Ellsworh at Butternut coin.

http://www.butternut.org/coins/coins.html

He has store tokens about the size of a halfcent (but thicker) made up all the time that he hands out at shows. He could probably help you.

There are also many other private minting firms that could make up tokens for you. One of them is The Patrick Mint http://www.sonic.net/themint/index.html

Osbourne coining http://www.osbornecoin.com/index.html?OVRA...&OVMTC=standard

Northwest Territorial Mint http://www.nwtmint.com/CustomMinting/CustomMinting.htm

Quality Challenge coins http://www.wemakecoins.com/

Coins fo Anything http://www.coinsforanything.com/

And there are many others. Just do a search for private mints or custom minting.

If you make an excursion out to Finland you can get the whole package: design, planchets (aluminum, copper, or silver) and the anvil press to strike them.

Here is a thread that I posted some time ago. The above company handled this event.

You can find some of there other work here on the Finnish Numismatic Society's website.
